Strategic Analystics: Strategic Analytics champions the company’s ambitious growth agenda by utilizing data and advanced analytics and converting it into actionable energy
Overall purpose of role: The candidate is responsible for developing and overseeing acquisition strategy and valuation analysis supporting the Travel and Entertainment (T&E) Segment. As part of this role, the candidate will assess acquisition channel profitability, develop offer and product strategies and support underwriting strategies. The candidate will also assist in designing, developing and executing acquisition testing strategies to assist the department’s ambitious growth agenda.
Key Accountabilities and Skills required: ·Key specific accountabilities. Responsible for acquisition strategy development, execution, & acquisition P&L valuation including business case development ·Acquisition marketing plan development reflecting offer development, channel mix, pricing, competitive insight, market differentiation, and target population ·Leadership of a cross functional team of internal groups at Barclays ·Accountable for setting pricing and offers strategies ·Accountability for Acquisition Risks and Controls
·Stakeholder management and leadership. Lead cross-functional teams to ensure that practices, policies and tactics are aligned across the organization to deliver growth in new accounts and expected financial and credit performance.
·Influence Senior stakeholders to pursue and prioritize critical Airline initiatives ·Must work closely with Marketing, Credit and Risk, Segment, and Finance to deliver the financial plan including underwriting, pricing, and targeting strategies ·Strong written and verbal communicator with the ability to clearly communicate business insight through executive dashboards
·Decision making and problem solving. Gather data, perform analysis, interpret and recommend areas of opportunity for T&E Card Acquisition. ·Evaluate multiple data sources (e.g., bureau, industry reports, mail response rates, approval rates, credit profiles, digital sub-channel reports, vintage performance, daily app trends, judgmental queues) to identify new account growth opportunities, optimize existing investments, and to ensure strategies are financially sound and effective.
Risk and Control: All Barclays colleagues have to ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards.
Your Skills and Qualifications will include ·Basic Qualifications oBachelor's degree in an analytical / statistical discipline required (e.g. Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Operations Research or related quantitative). o3-5 years of financial services experience with progressive responsibilities over that period o2 years’ experience in performing financial valuations and P&L Analysis
·Preferred Qualifications oMaster's degree in an analytical / statistical discipline required (e.g. Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Operations Research or related quantitative). oHands on experience analysing data and developing strategies oStrong verbal and written communication skills oAbility to work independently and in a team environment oCredit Card Experience oSAS/SQL, Visual Basic or related analytical coding experience (preferred but not required)
