SUMMARY: Research and development for motorcycle Product Line - the On Road Group; Vehicle maintenance, crating and uncrating, vehicle scraping, running tests, and related items. Work to support the On-Road group projects to ensure that as a whole the final product package is optimized to exceed the customer's expectations in the following areas: safety, performance, reliability, handling and comfort.
Bike management, Uncrating and crating of vehicles, prepping bikes for test, up-fitting bikes with accessories, prepping bikes for riding, maintaining bikes, inspecting bikes after test, scraping bikes and prepping bikes for sale.
Conduct tests on parts or whole bikes.
Work safely in all aspects of product development and testing, following policies and OSHA requirements.
Keep good records and write test reports for tests conducted.
Maintain strict confidentiality.
Maintain a clean work area.
Keep the vehicle storage area organized.
Note: There is a potential for travel, but very low likelihood. 0 to 20%.
Required education- 2 year degree in technical field (ie: automotive, small engines, powersports, mechanical, engineering).
Previous experience and knowledge of chassis for disassembly and reassembly of vehicles, some engine experience.
Must be familiar with two and four stroke engines, suspensions, and skilled in the set-up of these systems (for example: complete restoration and engine overhauls, electrical systems)
Proficient with Computer.
Good self-starter, willing to work overtime as needed.
Able to communicate professionally, maintain action register, drive project to timely completion.
Capable of reading blueprints (understanding basic measurements)
Capable of operating a forklift.
