United Rentals Region Recruiter I in Glen Burnie, Maryland
Under the guidance of the Recruitment Manager, the Recruiter will be responsible for the sourcing, screening and overall recruitment for multiple regions, primarily focusing on Inside Sales Representatives, Outside Sales Representatives, and Branch Manager positions, and other positions as necessary. This individual will drive, along with the Human Resource Directors and Recruitment Manager, company recruitment initiatives, including college recruitment, diversity recruitment and military recruitment in a timely manner, by increasing the pool of qualified candidates and championing these initiatives with the field.
Under the guidance of the Recruitment Manager and Human Resources Directors, responsible for sourcing, interviewing, and presenting candidates for branch positions with main focus on Sales and Branch Management positions; recruit for other positions as necessary.
Build relationships with BMs and DMs to formulate annual recruiting plans with a focus on turnover reduction, college hiring, military and diversity recruitment.
Focus sourcing efforts to increase pool of candidates to meet these objectives.
Research and utilize various recruitment sources including:
Non-fee, niche websites, military, and diversity sources, and company's applicant database, Recruitment Management
Assist in attending college fairs and building university relationships.
Forge relationships with trade schools, technical schools, military bases and transition offices to place BMs or other positions, partnering with hiring managers.
Manage and administer the ATS process and On-boarding System for the regions:
Work closely with Branch and District Managers and other hiring mgrs to ensure system process flow, smooth offer and on-boarding process as necessary.
Conduct routine recruiting administrative work focusing on reduction in cycle time-to-hire for each job.
Assisting BMs/hiring mgrs, schedule interviews, prepare offer letters and non-competes for new hires as necessary
Report on staffing metrics (e.g., cost per hire, time to fill) and college hiring, diversity and other initiative results
Run ATS reports to analyze recruitment issues and improve recruitment
Coordinate the region's relationship with external recruitment by assisting BMs in ad placement if necessary, troubleshooting agency issues if necessary, utilizing the Virtual Recruiter's Office (RVO) tools to improve overall
region recruitment efforts
Position could be located throughout US*
Bachelor's degree required with an emphasis in Human Resources
Minimum 3+ years recruiting experience and/or experience in equipment rentals in a fast paced high volume environment.
Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Excellent assessment and interviewing skills
Proficiency in internet sourcing
Some experience using an Applicant Tracking System
Hands-on experience in college and diversity recruitment preferred, and preferably with military recruitment
Working from a local branch location with approximately 20% travel required.
Other duties as assigned.
