Applicants and employees in positions which perform job duties that may require contact with offenders in the custody or supervision of the Department of Corrections or with youth in the care, custody, or supervision of the Department of Juvenile Justice must meet qualifications pursuant to the federal Prison Rape Elimination Act, 28 C.F.R.115.17 and 115.317.Description of Job Duties:Responsible for performing complex transcription and provide sentence structure for discharge summaries, diagnostic staff notes, admission histories, progress notes, letters, etc. Assigns diagnostic codes to transcribed documents and distributes documents to appropriate personnel. Enters code numbers in hospital information system on a timely and consistent basis. Proofreads complex documents for accuracy as established by licensing and accrediting agencies. Interprets procedures for the medical staff and provide administrative support for medical staff. Drafts and complies memorandums and reports of data and distributes to as appropriate hospital personnel and outside agencies. Maintains filing system utilizing terminal digit filing.
