Responsibilities: * Integrates service in to the organization's primary functions. * Responsible for coordinating and integrating interdepartmental and intradepartmental services. * Develops and implements policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services * Continuously assesses and improves the performance of care and services provided. * Maintains and Adheres to quality control programs, as appropriate. * Responsible for coordination of orientation, provision of in-service training and continuing education for all persons in the department. * Recommends space and other resources needed by the department * Participates in selecting sources for needed services not provided by the department of the organization * Works as Metabolic and Bariatric Surgical Clinical Reviewer to ensure accurate and timely outcomes data collection. Will collect and submit accurate, complete, and timely data to the MBSAQIP Data Registry Platform. This task is accomplished through high­ quality data compilation, documentation, and entry of 100 percent of metabolic and bariatric procedures performed at the Center into the MBSAQIP Data Registry Platform. * Assists the MBS Director to lead quality improvement initiatives related to the continuum of care for the bariatric patients. * Plans, develops and implements relevant policies and procedures for the bariatric program in compliance with MBSAQIP requirements. * Maintains and improves own clinical knowledge. * Supports the hospital's mission, goal and objectives. * Reviews and evaluates criteria met by patient for Metabolic Surgery qualification. (CMS Guidelines and other governing agencies)

Qualifications:__ * Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Dietetics required * Three to five years’ experience working with bariatric patients * Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association required * Current Texas Registered Nurse or Registered Dietician in the State of Texas required
