Kimpton Hotels Reservations Agent in Miami, Florida
SUMMARY: The Reservations Agent is responsible for providing quality guest service by using the Kimpton Monitoring Criteria. Position is a permanent position based at the Kimpton EPIC in Miami, FL.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Provides superior customer service and books reservations for Kimpton EPIC and Kimpton Anglers
Process all future reservations, modifications of future reservations and cancellations.
Responsible for all VIP reservations and requests.
Process no shows and late cancellation fees.
Promotes repeat guest business for the hotel.
Support Wholesale / FIT reservations processes
Travel Agent Commission Research when needed
Process daily reporting and set up hotel on-property team by inputting messaging, blocking guest requests, and ensure all hotel guest needs are effectively communicated to the hotel operations team.
Promotes up-sell of upgraded room types, and packages, offers alternate dates
or waitlist when hotel is sold out.
Performs other related duties as become necessary.
Cross sell's Area 31 Restaurant and Exhale Spa.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Working knowledge of computers (H.I.S./Logistics).
