Credence LLC Senior Geospatial Analyst in Montgomery, Alabama

General Description:

Credence Management Solutions, LLC (Credence) is seeking a senior Geospatial Analyst to provide direct on-site support to the U.S. Air Force (AF) Civil Engineer (CE) Information Technology (IT) Systems Program Management Office (PMO). This key person will provide advice and assistance to the PMO in acquiring and developing IT systems over the project lifecycle and in managing its portfolio of IT systems.


Typically works on high visibility or mission critical aspects of the program and performs all functional duties independently. May oversee the efforts of junior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job. Supports the Air Force Geospatial Information Management System (AFGIMS) PMO by providing technical consultation regarding the implementation of Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) using the Environmental Systems Research Institute (Esri) products. Specific duties include:

  • Plan implementations and upgrades of Esri products within an Enterprise system environment such as ArcGIS 10.x or higher, ArcSDE 10.x or higher, ArcServer 10.x or higher, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise/Portal for ArcGIS.

  • Identify training requirements and assist in developing field training plans.

  • Analyze and track the impact of implemented initiatives and recommend adjustments for further improvements based on those findings.

  • Implement and utilize Portal for ArcGIS to accomplish business processes, including analyzing existing business processes/workflows and developing strategies to migrate them into Portal for ArcGIS.

  • Provide recommendations based on experience and industry-leading techniques in areas such as enterprise spatial solutions.

  • Install and test enterprise GIS applications within development, test, and preproduction environments.

  • Analyze geospatial business processes and work flow procedures, to include gathering information from consultation with customer, user community, and Esri consultants.

  • Analyze and evaluate complex alternatives concerning program priorities, policies, requirements, customer requirements, and developing formal system requirements within systems associated with GIS implementations.

  • Conduct GIS market research and equipment demonstrations, and assist in gathering geospatial technical information such as, but not limited to: Air Force Common Installation picture (CIP) and Mission Data Sets (MDS).

  • Develop technical support documents such as, but not limited to: Technical Manuals, Application and/or Tool User Manuals, Training Documents, and Service Guides to be followed by field users to leverage program capabilities.

Job Requirements:

Minimum qualifications include at least ten (10) years of experience performing geospatial analysis for the U.S. Federal Government.

Minimum 5 years of experience in GIS integration using Esri software, to include ArcGIS Desktop, ArcServer, and other Esri tools and extensions.

At least one (1) year of experience in enterprise GIS systems architecture is preferred.

At least five (5) years of demonstrated experience in developing and implementing Esri geodatabases and/or feature classes using industry standards is preferred.

At least five (5) years of demonstrated experience in geospatial-enabled web-based and/or standalone application and tool development using programming languages such as: JavaScript, HTML, FLEX, .XML, PythonScript, .NET, .VBA, and/or JSON is preferred.

At least two (2) years of experience in geospatial technical writing is preferred.

Minimum Education:

MA/MS degree is preferred, but may be waived if the ten (10) years of experience performing geospatial analysis is met.

BA/BS/MA/MS in Cartography, Geography, Geomatics, Surveying, Operations Research, or a similar field is preferred.

Security Clearance:

An active DoD SECRET clearance is preferred and may be required to perform in this position. If this position does not require a security clearance, candidates must be able to complete a favorably adjudicated National Agency Check with Written Inquiries (NACI) investigation to access a government furnished information system or environment. Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance or a favorably adjudicated NACI is a condition of employment.
