Twin Cities Hospital is a 65 bed general acute care facility and proud to offer 100% private rooms. In addition, Twin Cities Hospital is located in beautiful Niceville, FL within 15 miles of the Emerald Coast beaches. TCH is located in Okaloosa County and is one of the premier locations in the state for living, working and vacationing.
POSITION SUMMARY: Performs activities concerned with general ledger. Assist in process of accurately stating financial position of the hospital.
Assist in performance of monthly general ledger closing process, including SMA exhibits.
Preparation and review of assigned balance sheet reconciliation of ensure actual activity is reported accurately with proper support. Also proposes necessary adjustments on a timely basis.
Complete quarterly patient data submissions to the state.
Complete monthly Accounting of Disclosures Audit.
Assist with various reporting period workpapers including physical inventories, AHCA, E&Y and cost report workpapers.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:
· AA or BS, BBA required
· Prefer accounting degree
*EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED: *
· At least 3-5 years of relevant experience is required, preferably in healthcare field
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
· Requires computer knowledge and experience, including experience with Excel.
· Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with individuals.
· Excellent oral and written communications skills.
· Excellent mathematical and analytical skills as evidenced by employment history.
· Thorough knowledge of healthcare accounting and operations is preferable.
