Saint-Gobain Quality Engineer in Ravenna, Ohio
Provides statistical information for quality improvement by identifying testing methods and samples.
Responsible for fulfilling the role of Quality expert; this is a hands on position. Ensure the quality of the parts produced to meet all customer expectations; quickly and effective take action when non-conformances are found. Maintain the most recent interpretations of the QMS requirements as well as AS9100 requirements.
1) Provide closed looped failure analysis as required in a timely manner.
2) Implement effective corrective and preventive actions based on field, production and supplier findings.
3) Reduce quality & business costs utilizing lean 6 sigma tools on cross functional teams.
4) Perform internal audits and otherwise assist other auditors. Advise and assist resolution of audit findings.
5) Assist and at times direct MRB activities.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree, Engineering or Technical degree required.
Licenses and Certifications: ASQ Certifications preferred
3+ years’ experience with Composite materials preferred.
Demonstrates semi-technical writing/visual skills in an MS Office environment.
MRP, document control and other database skills.
Must be able to interpret engineering and customer specifications to translate into sound inspection/test practice.
Ability to multitask, be hands on and dive deep as needed, perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
